The "RISEBA" University (in Latvian: Biznesa, mākslas a tehnoloģiju augstskola "RISEBA") is a private international business school which was created in 1992. It is located in Riga, Latvia. It is also one of the 10 largest higher education institutions in Latvia (public and private) with almost 3000 students, including 200 international students.
Since its foundation in 1992, RISEBA's mission has been "to be a gateway to international careers". Indeed, the university's objective is to prepare its students for international careers.
RISEBA has three main academic components:
- Business school with bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs covering business, management and economics.
- School of Media and Communication with Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Arts and Communications.
- School of Architecture and Design, which currently offers a Bachelor of Architecture program.

The orientation week started on 28/01 and continued until 03/02. During this orientation week I had the opportunity to get to know the university, Riga, Latvia and other exchange students.
With activities such as speed friending, city tour, bowling... So I was able to meet many friends with his activities and I continued to see them during the semester. The school has put us in good conditions for this stay in Latvia.
In order to validate this Erasmus semester, I had to choose 9 courses. Including fundamentals of management, strategic brand management and management accounting.
The workload during this semester was therefore quite high. The subjects were interesting with different approaches to teaching. Some professors contacted speakers. And others encouraged exchanges with students.
Depending on the course, the number of students was more or less large. In my classes, the French were the most present nationalities, with the Germans and Latvians. It could be seen that Latvians were more hardworking and regular than French people.
For the sporting side of the school, we can see that the students are involved.
Indeed, from 29 to 12 March, the 29th World Winter University took place in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. 3 RISEBA students represented Latvia in different sports such as mountain skiing, figure skating and hockey.
For my part, I play on the RISEBA football team, the training is on Wednesday at 8:30 pm. The atmosphere and friendship between Erasmus and Latvian students is great.
12/03/19.
